Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Nonprofit Command, a financial intelligence platform for nonprofit organizations. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Nonprofit Command provides tools for budgeting, fundraising, compliance tracking, document management, board reporting, and organizational guidance. The Service is software and informational content only. It is not an audit, tax, or legal service, and Nonprofit Command is not a certified public accounting firm, tax attorney, or law firm.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must be authorized to act on behalf of the nonprofit organization you register. You are responsible for maintaining accurate organization information, including your legal name and EIN, and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Your content & data
You are responsible for the accuracy of the records, documents, and information you upload or enter, including financial statements, IRS notices, EINs, and donor information. You grant Nonprofit Command a limited license to process your data solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the Service only for lawful nonprofit operational purposes.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have rights to store.
- Do not attempt to access another organization’s data or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Do not use AI-generated output as a substitute for professional audit, tax, or legal advice.
5. Subscriptions & payment
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle through our payment processor. You authorize recurring charges until you cancel. See the Cancellation & Billing and Refund Policy sections below.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." Nonprofit Command does not warrant that financial summaries, compliance reminders, or AI-generated guidance are complete, accurate, or applicable to your situation. AI output is not an audit opinion, IRS determination, tax advice, legal opinion, or guarantee of compliance.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nonprofit Command and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated guidance, financial summaries, or compliance reminders. You should consult a qualified professional before making financial, tax, or legal decisions.
8. Termination
You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or for non-payment. Upon termination, your access ends at the close of your current billing period; see Account & Data for data retention.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms and will post the revised date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Nonprofit Command collects, uses, and protects your organization’s information.
Information we collect
- Organization profile: legal name, EIN, state of incorporation, fiscal year, mission, and programs.
- Financial records: budgets, donations, expenses, grants, bank transactions, and uploaded statements.
- Sensitive documents: IRS notices, Form 990 filings, determination letters, and board materials.
- Donor records: donor names, gift amounts, and acknowledgment status you choose to record.
- Account information: name, email, role, and access permissions within your organization.
How we use it
- To operate your workspace — dashboards, reports, compliance reminders, and fundraising tools.
- To generate AI-assisted guidance and summaries for your review.
- To process subscription payments and provide support.
- To improve product reliability and features, in aggregate, never exposing one organization to another.
Data isolation & security
Each organization has its own protected workspace. Access is enforced with row-level security so one organization’s records are never visible to another. Roles limit who within your organization can view financials, IRS notices, donor identities, and tax documents. Integration tokens are kept server-side and scoped to your organization. See the Security section for more detail.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share only with service providers that help operate the platform (such as payment processing, hosting, and AI providers bound by confidentiality), or when required by law. AI providers receive only the data needed to generate your requested guidance and do not retain it to train models on your content.
Your rights
You may review and correct your organization’s data at any time. To export your records or request full deletion, open the Account & Data section in your workspace and choose Export or Request deletion — or email nonprofitcommand@outlook.com and we’ll guide you through it. You can cancel your subscription at any time from Billing; after cancellation, your data is retained briefly so you can resume or export, then permanently deleted. We keep records only as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by law.

AI Disclaimer
Nonprofit Command uses artificial intelligence to help you understand your financial data and what to address next. This guidance is powerful, but it has clear limits.
AI-generated content is guidance, not a professional determination. It is not:
- An audit opinion or substitute for a financial audit.
- An IRS determination, ruling, or tax position.
- Tax advice or a legal opinion.
- A guarantee that you are compliant with federal, state, or grant requirements.
- A substitute for review by a qualified CPA, tax attorney, or legal advisor.
AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. Nonprofit Command will never automatically file documents, submit IRS responses, classify noncompliance, assign donor tax values, or update financial records on your behalf. You confirm any AI-suggested data before it is applied. The final decision and responsibility always rest with your organization and your professional advisors.
Tax & Legal Disclaimer
Nonprofit Command is an informational software platform. We are not a certified public accountant, tax attorney, enrolled agent, audit firm, or law firm, and using the Service does not create an attorney-client or accountant-client relationship.
- Financial summaries and health scores are estimates from the data you enter and are not audited financial statements.
- Compliance checklists and reminders help you track deadlines but are not legal advice and may not reflect every jurisdiction’s requirements.
- IRS notice guidance is informational only. IRS notices can carry serious consequences — review the notice with a qualified tax professional before responding.
- Donor acknowledgment and valuation guidance is general; specific substantiation rules (e.g., Form 8283, appraisals) require professional review.
Always consult a qualified professional for tax, legal, and audit matters specific to your organization.
Cancellation & Billing Policy
Billing cycles
Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through our payment processor. Annual plans are offered at a discount (save 2 months versus monthly). Your subscription renews automatically until canceled.
Canceling
You can cancel anytime from the Billing page in your workspace or by emailing nonprofitcommand@outlook.com. Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep access through the end of your current paid period; no further charges occur.
Plan changes
Upgrades take effect immediately and any prorated difference is charged. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Board seat limits and feature access adjust with your new plan.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, we retry the charge and notify you immediately. Access to your platform is paused until the failed invoice is settled — on your next sign-in you'll be prompted to update your payment method and pay any open invoice. Once payment is confirmed, your workspace is restored automatically.
Refund Policy
Because Nonprofit Command is a subscription service with immediate access to software and stored data, subscription payments are generally non-refundable.
- Monthly plans: charges are final for the month in which access was active.
- Annual plans: you may request a prorated refund within 14 days of a renewal if you have not materially used the Service in that new period; requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Refunds required by law in your jurisdiction are honored regardless of this policy.
- Duplicate or clearly erroneous charges will be corrected upon request.
To request a refund, email nonprofitcommand@outlook.com with your organization name and the charge in question. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
Security
Protecting sensitive nonprofit records — EINs, IRS notices, financial statements, and donor information — is core to how Nonprofit Command is built.
- Organization isolation: each nonprofit has its own protected workspace. Row-level security ensures one organization’s data is never visible to another.
- Encrypted storage: documents and records are stored securely and scoped to the authorizing organization.
- Least-privilege access: roles limit who within your organization can view financials, IRS notices, donor identities, and tax documents.
- Secure connections: integration tokens are never exposed in the browser and are scoped to your organization.
- Server-side processing: AI and data operations run server-side so credentials and sensitive data are not exposed to the client.
For a full overview, see the Security section on our home page. Audit logging and additional hardening are on our roadmap. This is informational and is not a formal security certification.
